First Lady Josephine E. Jordan
Josephine Elaine (Coleman) Jordan, a native of Dayton, Ohio, is the wife of Pastor Preston Leroy Jordan, Jr., and the first lady of Trinity Baptist Church of Newport News, Virginia.
Mrs. Jordan graduated from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is a Registered Nurse. She has worked at several hospitals throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia, and is currently employed as a Medical Facilities Inspector with the Virginia Department of Health.
Mrs. Jordan gives her service and talent to Trinity Baptist Church in many ways. She directs the Youth Choir, and assists musically with the Senior Choir and the Gospel Chorus. Mrs. Jordan also serves in the Women on the Move for Christ Ministry.
She has spoken on many occasions for Women's Programs at various area churches and supports Pastor Jordan as his helpmate and as mother to their four children: Jason, Vincent, Lauren and Jasmine and grandmother to Daysia and Jaylen.
Mrs. Jordan truly exemplifies the Proverbs 31 model of the "Virtuous Woman" in her service to God, her family, and the church.
